Door-to-door Southampton car shipping on the East End, with gated drives met on County Road 39 and summer cars sent out in May and back in September.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Southampton, the East End town where Sunrise Highway and Route 27 carry the whole summer through a single corridor, the hedged and gated lanes run south of the highway to the ocean, the village keeps its Jobs Lane shops and the 1640 founding date, the hamlets of Hampton Bays, Water Mill, and Bridgehampton each keep their own center, and the Shinnecock canal splits the town in two. The car goes only to a licensed, insured carrier that we vet before it heads out Route 27 to load.
Sunrise Highway brings the trucks out to the East End, and the lots along County Road 39 or at the Hampton Bays end of the highway let a full-length rig load while the road is still wide. North of the highway the year-round streets usually take the truck to the door; a hedged or gated lane south of it meets the truck on County Road 39 at a spot agreed when you book. Our work here includes summer households sending a car out in May and back in September, year-round residents closing on a house, and collector cars riding enclosed to a Florida winter home. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the Route 27 traffic stretches the pickup window, and a nor’easter can push a winter pickup back a day.

From the Hamptons to anywhere else in the state, Westchester to Buffalo, our guide to shipping a car in New York lays out the options.
Summer households book the car out in May and back in September as two orders, each priced for its month, with the season’s corridor jam built into the window.
A hedged or gated lane south of the highway gets a County Road 39 meeting point fixed when you book, so the truck never has to back out.
Estimate the run out east, or the trip back in the fall, in the quote calculator, and once the estimate arrives by email a specialist calls to confirm the number. One coordinator manages the order from that quote to the final inspection, so nobody hands you off in the middle of the season.
Southampton stretches along Route 27 from the Shinnecock Canal past Water Mill toward Bridgehampton, with County Road 39 carrying the traffic into the village. Five things move the price of an East End shipment:
For a summer house or a year-round home alike, the table prices a running sedan on an open trailer on five Southampton routes. Cars bound for Miami are priced from the middle half of our own New York to Florida open-carrier orders since 2023, a southbound figure only. Detroit, Charleston, Houston and Las Vegas carry what customers paid for moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
These figures price a running sedan on an open trailer, whether it leaves the East End or comes back to it. Bigger vehicles and cars that will not start come in above these numbers, and putting a collector car in an enclosed trailer adds about a third. Check your own Southampton dates in the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
Settlers landed in 1640, making it one of the oldest English towns in the state.
Route 27 carries the whole summer through a single road, and it shows from May to September.
The Shinnecock canal splits the town between the bays and the East End proper.
Hampton Bays, Water Mill, and Bridgehampton each keep their own center and calendar.
Please note: The Miami figure on this Southampton page follows our own New York to Florida open-carrier orders since 2023 and applies to cars going south. Detroit, Charleston, Houston and Las Vegas are distance bands drawn from our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026, and summer traffic on the East End, fuel and the vehicle can still move your calculator quote.
