Ship a jet ski or personal watercraft nationwide, on its own trailer or alongside a vehicle on the same order.
A jet ski is small enough to look simple and awkward enough to catch people out. Most personal watercraft travel on the trailer they already sit on, which quietly makes the trailer part of the shipment rather than an accessory, and that single fact drives the equipment, the price and nearly all of the preparation. Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki and stand-up skis all move the same way: strapped on their own trailer, secured to an open carrier, and treated as one unit. Skis without a trailer still ship, but they need a cradle and different handling.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges personal watercraft transport nationwide for private owners, online buyers, dealerships and auction purchases. Whether it is a single ski, a pair on a double trailer, or a ski riding alongside a car on the same order, it is quoted as one job with one coordinator and one delivery window. We check trailer condition before dispatch because that is where these moves actually fail, and we quote open or enclosed honestly rather than defaulting to the expensive option. No up-front deposit is required. Call (866) 821-4555 for a free quote, or put the ski, its trailer and your dates into the quote calculator for an estimate by email. A transport specialist follows up by phone to confirm the final price for the ski.
Most jet ski moves fail at the trailer, not the ski. Dry-rotted tires, seized bearings and dead lights are normal on a trailer that only ever runs to the local ramp, and a carrier is entitled to refuse a unit that cannot safely travel at highway speed for days. We ask about trailer condition at quote time and tell you plainly what needs attention before pickup, rather than discovering it when the truck is already in your driveway.
Personal watercraft frequently move alongside a car, and quoting them together puts both on one order. The second unit takes space on a truck already committed to your lane, so both travel on the same dispatch. One order, one coordinator, one delivery window for both.
Almost every personal watercraft ships fine on an open carrier, and that is what we quote by default. Enclosed transport is worth paying for on a new ski, a rare hull or a show-condition restoration, and it typically adds half again to the open rate. We will tell you which one your situation actually calls for instead of upselling the expensive option.
Preparation for a jet ski is mostly about the trailer and the loose parts. The ski itself is a sealed hull and travels well. What causes problems is everything bolted or clipped to it, and a trailer that has never left the county.
Every personal watercraft move is priced by a specialist, since the trailer it rides on, the season and the lane all shape the number. Put the ski, its trailer and both ZIP codes into the quote calculator and an estimate arrives by email. A transport specialist then phones to confirm the final price for your ski, or call (866) 821-4555 to start there. Moving a car on the same lane? Ask about multi-car shipping on one order.
The questions personal watercraft owners ask most often before booking, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call (866) 821-4555 and a coordinator will walk through your lane with you.
Yes, meaningfully. When a ski and a vehicle move on one order they can ride the same truck on the same lane, so you pay an incremental rate on the second unit instead of a full standalone move. It also collapses two delivery windows into one. If you are relocating and moving both anyway, always quote them together rather than separately.
Personal watercraft demand is seasonal and it moves in waves. Skis head north in spring as the season opens and south in autumn, and rates on those lanes rise while everyone wants the same trucks at the same time. Giving the carrier a few days of leeway on pickup helps fit your ski onto a truck already running north or south, and booking two or three weeks ahead of the rush is what holds the date.
Yes. Stand-up skis are lighter and shorter than a three-seat runabout, and they ship on their trailer the same way. The smaller size counts for less than you would expect, because the rate is driven mainly by the trailer footprint and the lane rather than by the weight of the ski.
Those moves involve an ocean leg and are quoted case by case rather than off a standard rate. Tell us the origin, the destination port and whether the ski is trailered, and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can arrange competitively for your situation.
One to two weeks is comfortable for most lanes. Personal watercraft can sit a little longer waiting for a carrier than cars do, because not every truck wants a trailered unit, so extra lead time genuinely helps. In peak season, or on a rural lane, give it more.
Usually yes, provided the yard has room for a truck to turn and someone can release the ski. Give us the gate hours and a contact name at booking. Storage facilities with narrow aisles or restricted hours can turn into a missed pickup on this kind of move.
Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons people call. We collect from private sellers, dealerships and auction lots. What matters is that someone at the pickup end can release the unit and sign, and that you know whether a trailer is included in the sale, because that single detail changes both the equipment and the price.
Almost every problem on a personal watercraft move traces back to the trailer rather than the ski. A jet ski trailer typically covers a few miles a year to a local ramp and back, then is asked to run two thousand miles at seventy without stopping. Bearings that were adequate for that duty fail, tires that look fine are ten years old and dry-rotted, and lights that worked in the driveway shake loose on the interstate. A carrier who spots any of this can decline the unit at pickup, and the trip is still chargeable. Twenty minutes with a grease gun and a tire gauge prevents nearly all of it.
Personal watercraft often ship on the same order as a vehicle, usually because a household is relocating and the ski is simply part of what goes. That combination keeps both on one dispatch, because the second unit rides a truck already committed to the lane. If you are quoting a car and a ski in the same week, quote them on one order.
The overwhelming majority of personal watercraft ship on open carriers without incident. A jet ski hull is sealed fiberglass built to sit in weather, and a fitted cover handles the rest. Enclosed transport earns its premium on a new ski, a rare hull or a show-condition restoration, and not much else. Anyone quoting you enclosed as the default for an ordinary used runabout is selling equipment you do not need.
Every SAC personal watercraft order is handled by a dedicated coordinator who arranges the carrier, confirms insurance is active, and stays with the shipment through delivery. You are not re-explaining the trailer dimensions to a different person each time you call, and there is one number to ring if the pickup window moves.
Please note: This page does not publish jet ski prices. Personal watercraft are a rare job for us, so we price each one from the carrier market at the time of booking.
