The Master Plan Still Governs
Nothing about Coral Springs happened by accident. Coral Ridge Properties chartered the city in 1963 and built it to a master plan, and the deed restrictions that came with that plan still govern the look of the place: low signage, green medians, neighborhoods that hold their lines decades on. The covered bridge the developers raised as the city’s first permanent structure still stands, the only publicly accessible one in Florida, a small monument to the founding idea. For movers the inheritance is practical: the street grid is logical, the corridors are wide, and a delivery plan made in advance tends to run exactly as written.
