Door-to-door Bristol, RI car shipping at the end of the East Bay peninsula, with Metacom Avenue and Route 114 hand-offs and the Fourth of July parade planned around.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Bristol, the harbor town at the tip of the East Bay peninsula where Route 114 runs down through Barrington and Warren to the Mount Hope Bridge, Roger Williams University sits on the point, and the red, white, and blue center line marks the oldest Fourth of July parade in the country. No carrier is assigned to a car on the peninsula until we have vetted it and confirmed its license and insurance.
A carrier has to mean to come here: Bristol sits at the end of the peninsula, reached from I-195 by Route 114 with the bay on both sides, and beyond the town the road goes only over the Mount Hope Bridge to Aquidneck. The colonial streets off Hope and Thames are narrow, one-way and parked solid, so a 75-foot rig stays off the waterfront. Cars meet the truck at a Route 114 shopping center or one of the Metacom Avenue lots on the east side of town, a spot fixed when you book, and Warren and Barrington pickups work the same way. We ship students’ cars for Roger Williams, summer residents’ cars, family relocations, and cars bought or sold out of state.
Speak with a coordinator now at (866) 821-4555 for pickup at any address in Bristol, Warren, Barrington, or Portsmouth across the bridge, or request an estimate by email through the quote calculator.
If the car starts somewhere else in Rhode Island, our statewide car shipping guide covers the routes, timing and costs.
The Route 114 run down from I-195 is in the quote and the window from the first call, so a Bristol pickup holds no surprises.
Narrow colonial blocks off Hope and Thames get a meeting point on Metacom Avenue or a Route 114 lot, fixed when you book.
Your route, vehicle and dates go into the quote calculator, and an estimate for a Bristol peninsula pickup comes back by email before a specialist calls to confirm the price. The same coordinator answers for the move from that first quote to the delivery inspection, Metacom Avenue hand-off included.
At the tip of the East Bay peninsula, Bristol is reached from I-195 down Route 114 through Barrington and Warren, with the bay on both sides. Five things move your number:
Bristol sits at the far tip of the East Bay, down Route 114 through Barrington and Warren, and cars here meet the truck at a Metacom Avenue or Route 114 lot. Boston, Washington, Charlotte, Naples and Los Angeles in the table below are distance bands, the middle half of what customers paid for moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
The ranges fit a sedan riding an open trailer down the peninsula: a larger vehicle or one that does not run costs more, and enclosed transport about a third more. Have your Bristol pickup estimated by email through the quote calculator, or call a coordinator at (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
Bristol’s Independence Day celebration has run since 1785.
The America’s Cup defenders were built on this harbor.
The bayside park is Rhode Island’s picnic front lawn.
The 1929 bridge arcs the bay to Aquidneck.
Please note: Every Bristol row, from Boston to Los Angeles by way of Washington, Charlotte and Naples, reflects what customers paid us for trips of about the same distance from September 2025 to August 2026. Season, fuel and your vehicle can move the final price of a peninsula pickup, and a specialist confirms the Bristol figure by phone once the calculator’s estimate is in your inbox.
