Door-to-door Nicholasville car shipping on US-27 south of Lexington, with deliveries timed to closings and river roads met up on the highway.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Nicholasville, the Jessamine County seat south of Lexington on US-27, where the courthouse square holds the old center, new subdivisions keep spreading across the farmland, the Kentucky River palisades close off the county to the south with cliffs and narrow bridges, the college town of Wilmore lies a few miles west, and the morning commute fills US-27 northbound. No carrier gets your car until we have confirmed its license and insurance and vetted it ourselves.
US-27 carries traffic north to Lexington and the interstates, and a 75-foot rig loads in the lots along US-27 or on Brannon Road at the Fayette County line, just off the highway. Finished streets let the truck reach the door, while a subdivision still under construction meets it at the paved entrance and a river road toward the palisades meets it up on US-27, because a loaded rig cannot take the cliffs or the narrow bridges, with the spot agreed at booking. We arrange moves for families closing on a new build, households moving out from Lexington, parents sending a car to a student at the college in Wilmore, and retirees settling near the courthouse square, and in the ice-storm months of December through February we pad the schedule by a day.
Speak with a coordinator now at (866) 821-4555 for pickup at any address in Nicholasville, Wilmore, Keene, or the south end of Lexington, or request an estimate by email through the quote calculator.
For towns beyond Jessamine County and the palisades, our Kentucky car shipping guide sets out statewide routes, seasons and prices.
A new build closes when the paperwork clears, so we time the delivery to land after you get the keys and keep the car in secure storage if the closing date moves.
The roads down to the palisades have cliffs on one side and one-lane bridges at the bottom, so those addresses get a meeting point on US-27 fixed when you book.
Type the route, the car and the dates into the quote calculator and it emails an estimate, closing date settled or not, before a specialist calls to confirm the price. One coordinator stays with your order from that first figure to the signed inspection when the car arrives.
Nicholasville sits south of Lexington on US-27, with the Kentucky River palisades closing off the county below it. Your quote turns on five things:
Cars in Nicholasville load along US-27 or at a paved subdivision entrance. Every row on the table, from Orlando and Jacksonville to San Diego, Tacoma and San Francisco, is a distance band set by the prices customers paid for open-carrier trips of similar length booked with us from September 2025 to August 2026.
Nicholasville's ranges are planning figures for a running sedan on an open trailer, not quotes. Bigger vehicles cost more than a sedan off US-27, as does a car that will not run, and an enclosed trailer adds about a third. For a price on a new build or a farm lane in Jessamine County, open the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The commute north fills it every morning, and the truck meets most of town along it.
The river cliffs close the county on the south, with one-lane bridges at the bottom.
The college town sits ten minutes west, and its students meet the truck at the highway edge.
New subdivisions keep spreading across the old farmland, and some of their streets are still being built.
Please note: For Nicholasville, the Orlando, Jacksonville, San Diego, Tacoma and San Francisco figures come from moves of about the same distance booked from September 2025 to August 2026, not from a lane of our own. Season, fuel, route and vehicle all move the final price, and for a Jessamine County address we book the figure a specialist confirms by phone.
