Door-to-door Meads car shipping on the interstate side of Ashland, with Cannonsburg lots by I-64, medical center start dates, and ridge drives met at the bottom.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Meads, the unincorporated Boyd County community on US-60 south of Ashland, where newer subdivisions climb the ridges, shops line the highway, the regional medical center in Ashland is a short drive north, the I-64 interchange at Cannonsburg is reached by US-60 and Route 180, and Huntington, West Virginia lies just to the east. We hand the car only to a carrier whose license and insurance we have confirmed and whose record we have reviewed before the assignment.
Trucks come off I-64 at the Cannonsburg interchange, and a 75-foot rig loads in the lots beside it or along US-60 among the shops, close to the ramp. In the subdivisions the truck can usually reach the door, while a ridge road with a steep drive meets it at the bottom of the hill, a spot settled when you book. We handle cars for new hires at the medical center with a start date, families settling into the ridge subdivisions, two-car households arriving together, and households in Huntington across the state line, which dispatch plans as one market with Meads. From December to March we build in an extra day in case snow or ice shuts the hill roads.

From the Big Sandy west to the Mississippi, our Kentucky car shipping guide covers routes, seasons and prices across the state.
Hires and residents at the regional medical center get a window worked backward from the first day, booked a month out to allow for the eastern Kentucky window, and the receipt a relocation desk asks for.
Families arriving with two cars book both at once, and dispatch puts them on one truck when the space lines up, which is cheaper per car and one hand-off at the interchange.
Enter the route, the car and the dates in the quote calculator and you get an emailed estimate, then a specialist’s call to confirm the price, whether the car leaves a ridge subdivision or a lot by the Cannonsburg exit. After that, one coordinator stays on your move until the delivery inspection is signed.
Meads sits on US-60 in Boyd County, a short drive from the I-64 interchange at Cannonsburg. The price comes down to five things:
Cars in Meads load near I-64 at Cannonsburg or along US-60, and a steep ridge drive meets the truck at the bottom. The Jacksonville, Fort Myers, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle rows are distance bands, built from what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
Read the Meads numbers as a guide for one sedan that runs, carried on an open trailer. Larger vehicles and cars that will not start cost more, enclosed transport adds about a third, and a pickup out on the Boyd County ridges can land toward the top of a range. The quote calculator emails an estimate for your own Meads route, or a call to (866) 821-4555 gets you a quote. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The newer subdivisions of the county spread out on them toward the interstate.
It sits a short drive north in Ashland, and its new hires and residents arrive on fixed start dates.
The I-64 interchange sits down US-60 and Route 180, and the trucks load in the lots beside it.
The West Virginia city is twenty minutes east, and dispatch treats both as one market.
Please note: The Meads ranges for Jacksonville, Fort Myers, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle reflect moves of about the same distance booked from September 2025 to August 2026, not a lane of our own out of Boyd County. Fuel, the season, the route and the vehicle all change the final figure, so rely on the calculator quote for your address.
