Erie Car Shipping on the Lake, in Pennsylvania’s Snowbelt

Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Erie, the only lake city in Pennsylvania, where I-90 runs the south edge and I-79 ends at the bayfront, the peninsula park curls into the lake, the locomotive plant on the east side has built engines for a century, two universities fill the west side and the bluff, the lake-effect snow measures in feet every winter, and Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo are each two hours away. The carrier hauling your car out of Millcreek, Harborcreek or the bayfront is licensed and insured, and we vet it before the assignment is made.

Erie sits on I-90 roughly midway between Cleveland and Buffalo, and winter is the part we tell you about first: from December to March a lake-effect storm can close I-90 for a day, so a winter order carries extra flex, and we say so up front. The lots along Peach Street at I-90, on the Bayfront Parkway near the end of I-79, and on Buffalo Road by the locomotive plant give a 75-foot rig room close to the ramps. The city grids take the truck to the door; a bluff street with a steep drive meets it at the bottom, agreed at booking, and a storm week can move any date. We ship cars for new hires at the plant and the hospitals, students arriving in August, families moving to the lake, and snowbirds who head south in November and come back in April.
