Wheeling Car Shipping Through the Tunnel and Across the Island to Ohio

Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Wheeling, the old river city of the Northern Panhandle, where I-70 comes through the hill in a tunnel and crosses the Ohio on the island, the suspension bridge that was the longest in the world still spans the river to the island, the Victorian streets of North Wheeling and Woodsdale climb the hills above downtown, the National Road runs east through Elm Grove to the Highlands, the park on the hill above town draws the whole valley, and Ohio is the far end of every bridge. A carrier must be licensed, insured and vetted by us before it is assigned a car leaving the Northern Panhandle.

I-70 runs straight through town, coming out of the Wheeling Tunnel and crossing the Ohio by way of the island, and Pittsburgh is about an hour east. The lots along National Road at the Highlands, on the island by the I-70 exit and in Elm Grove give a 75-foot rig room to load a minute off the ramps, but the Victorian hill streets are too steep for a rig that size. Level streets can take the truck at the door; a North Wheeling or Woodsdale hill address meets it below on Main Street or National Road, and an island address meets it at the exit lot, each fixed when you book. We ship for hospital hires reporting on a start date, parents sending a car to a son or daughter who moved away, retirees heading to Florida in the fall and households across the bridges in Ohio, and a winter storm on I-70 can hold a truck for a day.
