Door-to-door St. Albans, WV car shipping off the I-64 exits near Nitro, with riverfront and Coal River hillside hand-offs on MacCorkle Avenue.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for St. Albans, the Kanawha County city at the mouth of the Coal River, where MacCorkle Avenue and Route 60 run along the Kanawha, the CSX main line follows the bank, the riverfront park fills the summers, and Nitro sits across the water. The truck that takes your car from the mouth of the Coal River belongs to a licensed, insured carrier, and we vet that carrier before assigning it the load.
A truck already working Charleston is a short run west on I-64, and the St. Albans and Nitro exits lead a 75-foot rig onto MacCorkle Avenue, where the strip lots and the lots near the bridge have room to load. The older parts of town are tighter: riverfront blocks near the park are narrow, the hillside streets above the Coal River climb hard, and the two-lane roads out toward Tornado are steep and winding, so those addresses meet the driver on MacCorkle Avenue at a spot set when you book. The flatter subdivisions toward Teays Valley can often take the truck at the door. We handle cars for families moving in or out of Kanawha County, new hires headed for jobs in Charleston, college students, and private buyers and sellers on both sides of the river.

The St. Albans and Nitro exits put Charleston carriers on MacCorkle Avenue without a detour, so the town loads on an existing run.
Tight blocks by the park and the steep streets above the Coal get a MacCorkle Avenue meeting point, fixed when you book.
Enter the route, the vehicle and your dates in the quote calculator and you get an emailed estimate for a pickup off MacCorkle Avenue or up a Coal River road, then a specialist’s call to confirm the figure. A single coordinator stays with the order from that number until the car is inspected at delivery in Columbus, Dallas or wherever it is bound.
St. Albans sits where the Coal River meets the Kanawha, a short drive from I-64 along MacCorkle Avenue. Five things set your price here:
St. Albans loads along MacCorkle Avenue at the mouth of the Coal River, and none of its rows is a lane of our own. Columbus, Nashville, Orlando, Dallas and Seattle are distance bands, each the middle half of what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026, with Columbus, about 160 road miles away, the shortest run.
St. Albans bands are for a sedan on an open trailer, so a four-wheel-drive pickup, a three-row SUV or a car that will not run costs more, and enclosed transport adds about a third. To price your own move off MacCorkle Avenue, try the quote calculator or call a coordinator at (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The Coal River ends at St. Albans’ front door.
The city’s park runs along the Kanawha bank.
The railroad made the town a shipping point.
The WWI powder town faces St. Albans over the Kanawha.
Please note: For Columbus, Nashville, Orlando, Dallas and Seattle, the St. Albans prices come from open-carrier sedan moves of comparable distance that customers booked with us from September 2025 to August 2026. The season, the cost of diesel and the vehicle you ship can each nudge a Coal River pickup up or down, and the price we book is set on a specialist’s call after the calculator’s estimate.
