Door-to-door University City car shipping off I-170, with the narrow 1920s streets met on Olive or Delmar and campus-calendar moves for students and faculty.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for University City, the inner suburb where the Loop runs its shops and its walk of fame along Delmar, the university’s campus fills the south edge every August, the lion gates mark the old civic center, I-170 runs the west side to I-64, the brick apartment blocks and the 1920s streets hold the students and the faculty, and Forest Park sits a few blocks east. The carrier we assign has a license and insurance we have verified and has passed our vetting before it ever gets the order.
Carriers reach the area on I-170 and I-64, and the lots on Olive Boulevard at I-170, or along Delmar west of the Loop, can hold a full-size carrier. The 1920s streets are narrow and shaded by old trees, so a car here usually meets the truck on Olive or Delmar at a spot set when you book, and the shop blocks of the Loop are no place for a hauler to stop. We ship for students and faculty on the campus calendar, medical residents starting in July at the hospitals across Forest Park, and graduates sending a car home in May.

Beyond the inner suburbs, our Missouri car shipping guide explains statewide routes, seasonal timing and typical costs.
The 1920s blocks and their trees do not fit a 75-foot rig, so nearly every University City address gets an Olive or Delmar meeting point fixed when you book.
Move-in week in August, the July residency start, and the May exodus are the three peaks here, and we tell you to book three weeks out for any of them.
Once the route, the car and your dates are in the quote calculator, an estimate arrives by email and a specialist calls to confirm the University City price. One coordinator follows the order through the delivery inspection, so a residency start or a move-in date that shifts reaches someone who already knows the plan.
University City runs along Delmar and Olive Boulevard west of Forest Park, with I-170 on its west side. Five things set what a move costs from here:
University City cars usually meet the truck on Olive Boulevard or on Delmar west of the Loop, since the 1920s side streets are narrow and lined with old trees. Every row below is a distance band, what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026: Nashville in the 300 to 600 mile tier, Raleigh one tier up, Denver and Orlando at 900 to 1,200 miles, and Phoenix the farthest.
These prices assume a sedan that starts and drives, on an open trailer. An SUV, a pickup or a car that needs a winch costs more, and enclosed transport is about a third higher. For the number on your own University City move, use the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
Delmar’s shops and its walk of fame are closed to a rig at any hour.
The gates and the old city hall mark a civic center built in 1903.
The university fills the south edge in August, and the hospitals across Forest Park take on new residents in July.
The 1920s blocks under their trees are why the truck meets you on Olive.
Please note: Nashville, Raleigh, Denver, Orlando and Phoenix are distance bands, not lanes of our own, based on what customers paid for moves of similar length from September 2025 to August 2026. The campus calendar, fuel and the vehicle still move a University City price, and the calculator quote is an estimate that a specialist turns into the booked price.
