Door-to-door Olympia car shipping where I-5 meets Highway 101, with capitol-block hand-offs at Capital Mall or on Martin Way and state agency transfer timing.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Olympia, the state capital at the southern tip of Puget Sound, where I-5 bends around Budd Inlet, Highway 101 begins its run to the peninsula, the masonry dome stands over the capitol campus, Percival Landing wraps the working waterfront, and Evergreen sits in the woods on the west side. The carrier that collects your car in the capital is licensed and insured, and we vet it before the order is assigned.
Carriers on the I-5 run between Seattle and Portland pass the city’s exits, so a car staged on the Capital Mall side or along the Martin Way strip loads on a trip already underway. The capitol campus and downtown are the tight part, with one-way streets, metered blocks and the climb up from the water, and the South Capitol and East Bay neighborhoods rise on narrow streets; those addresses meet the truck at Capital Mall or a Martin Way lot agreed at booking. Lacey and the west-side subdivisions take the truck to the door, and we handle state-agency transfers, Evergreen students and households moving in or out of Thurston County.
Speak with a coordinator now at (866) 821-4555 for pickup at any address in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, or the west side toward Evergreen, or request an estimate by email through the quote calculator.
Beyond Thurston County, our Washington car shipping guide covers the statewide routes and seasons, from the Peninsula to the Tri-Cities.
Carriers running I-5 between Seattle and Portland can load at Capital Mall or on Martin Way without leaving their route.
One-way downtown streets and the hillside neighborhoods get a Capital Mall or Martin Way meeting point, fixed when you book.
Put your route, vehicle and dates into the quote calculator and an Olympia estimate arrives by email for a specialist to confirm. One coordinator then stays on the order, from agency start dates to the inspection at delivery.
I-5 bends past the capitol here, and Highway 101 leaves for the peninsula on the west side. Five things set the price:
Olympia pickups start at a Lacey or west-side driveway or a lot at Capital Mall. San Francisco is our own lane, the middle half of our California to Washington open-carrier orders since 2023, so it prices a car coming north. Portland, Boise, Chicago and Washington, DC are distance bands: what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
Each band is for a sedan riding an open trailer. Larger vehicles and cars that will not start cost more than these figures, and an enclosed trailer adds about a third. For your own Olympia number, use the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The capitol’s masonry dome is among the tallest in the country.
The boardwalk wraps Budd Inlet’s working shore.
The state’s famously untraditional college sits in the west woods.
The peninsula road leaves I-5 at Olympia’s west side.
Please note: Only San Francisco is priced from our own lane, California to Washington open-carrier orders since 2023, for the northbound direction. Portland, Boise, Chicago and Washington, DC use comparable distances booked from September 2025 to August 2026. A transfer date, the season or the vehicle can move an Olympia quote, and what we book is the figure a specialist confirms by phone.
