Door-to-door Bellingham car shipping at the north end of I-5, with Meridian Street and Bakerview hand-offs for Sehome Hill, the campus, and Fairhaven.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Bellingham, the last city on I-5 before Canada, where Western Washington University looks over the bay from Sehome Hill, the 1890s brick blocks of Fairhaven hold the south side, the Alaska ferry sails from the Fairhaven dock, and Mount Baker stands behind every east-facing street. Before a carrier is given your order, we confirm it is licensed and insured and that it has passed our vetting.
Carriers come up I-5 from Seattle and treat this as the end of the run rather than a pass-through. The Meridian Street and Bakerview Road exits put a 75-foot rig on the Bellis Fair and Meridian lots within a minute of the freeway, and the flat neighborhoods north of I-5 have driveways the truck can use. Sehome Hill and the campus streets climb hard, downtown and Fairhaven are tight, and the South Hill and Edgemoor lanes above the bay wind with no room to turn, so those addresses meet the truck at a Meridian Street or Bakerview lot set at booking. We ship cars for Western students and their families, for households settling in Whatcom County, and for people moving out of state.
Two calendars matter here: Western’s late-September move-in and June move-out, and the Alaska ferry season, when households bound for Southeast Alaska stage cars in Fairhaven. Speak with a coordinator now at (866) 821-4555 or request an estimate by email through the quote calculator.
South of Whatcom County and east over the Cascades, our Washington car shipping guide covers the statewide routes and the seasons that move prices.
Carriers run Bellingham as the last stop north of Seattle, and the Meridian and Bakerview exits put them on the lots in a minute.
Sehome, South Hill, and Fairhaven get a Meridian Street meeting point, fixed when you book; the flat north side takes the rig to the door.
The quote calculator turns your route, vehicle and dates into an emailed estimate, then a specialist confirms the price, student cars and household moves alike. One coordinator then stays on the order from booking through the walk-around at delivery.
The last stretch of I-5 before Canada runs through town, with flat lots off Meridian Street and steep streets on Sehome and South Hill. Five things move the quote:
A Bellingham quote starts at a north-side driveway or a lot off Meridian Street. Two rows are lanes of our own, each one direction: Sacramento is the middle half of our California to Washington open-carrier orders since 2023, covering cars coming north, and Houston is the middle half of our Washington to Texas open-carrier orders since 2023, for cars heading south. Boise, Minneapolis and Boston are distance bands, the middle half of what customers paid for open-carrier trips of similar length booked with us between September 2025 and August 2026.
Each band prices a sedan loading onto an open trailer at a Meridian Street lot or a north-side driveway. A pickup, a three-row SUV or a car that will not start costs more than that, and enclosed transport adds about a third. For a Bellingham figure built on your own car and dates, use the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
WWU looks over the bay from Sehome Hill.
The Alaska Marine Highway sails from Bellingham’s dock.
The 1890s brick district anchors the south side.
The border is twenty miles north; carriers run Bellingham as the end of the I-5 lane.
Please note: Sacramento and Houston are priced from our own lanes, each in one direction only: California to Washington and Washington to Texas open-carrier orders since 2023. The Boise, Minneapolis and Boston rows rest on comparable distances booked from September 2025 to August 2026. Season, fuel and the vehicle can move a Bellingham quote, so the figure we book is set on a specialist’s call after the calculator’s emailed estimate.
