Door-to-door Morristown car shipping near the start of I-81, with Cherokee Lake roads met at the top, foothill roads met on the pavement, and plant start dates.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Morristown, the Hamblen County seat forty-five minutes east of Knoxville, where I-81 begins its run north out of I-40, the overhead sidewalks downtown are the only ones of their kind in the country, the plants on the east side make the town’s payroll, Cherokee Lake wraps the north side, and the foothills of the Smokies rise to the south. The rig that pulls up here belongs to a licensed, insured carrier, and our vetting comes before it is given your car.
Morristown is forty-five minutes east of the Knoxville hub and a few minutes off I-81, the road north toward Virginia and the Northeast, so it loads on the Knoxville pickup window. Lots near the US-25E exit of I-81 let a 75-foot rig load a minute from the ramp, and West Andrew Johnson Highway carries the stores and the traffic through town. On the town grid the truck comes to the door, a road down toward Cherokee Lake meets it at the top, and a foothill road with a soft shoulder meets it on the pavement, agreed when you book. We move cars for new hires at the plants, families relocating from bigger cities, lake households sending a second car, and retirees coming up from Florida for the mountain summers, and between December and March a storm in the mountains can hold a pickup back, which we tell you at the start.

Our Tennessee car shipping guide gathers the statewide view in one place: the interstates that carry cars across Tennessee, the seasons and the pricing.
Carriers heading up I-81 toward Virginia pass the exits a few minutes from town, so a pickup here is usually set within 1-3 days, close to the Knoxville window forty-five minutes away.
A road that winds down to Cherokee Lake has grades and turns a loaded rig cannot make, so those addresses get a meeting point at the top fixed when you book.
Your estimate comes by email from the quote calculator, built from the lane, the car and your dates, and a specialist calls to confirm the Morristown price. From the first number to the delivery inspection, one coordinator handles the Morristown order.
Morristown is the Hamblen County seat, with Cherokee Lake to the north and the Smokies foothills to the south. A quote from here turns on five things:
Morristown sits a few minutes off I-81, close to where it leaves I-40, forty-five minutes east of Knoxville. Tampa is the middle half of our own Tennessee to Florida open-carrier orders since 2023, and San Diego the middle half of our own California to Tennessee open-carrier orders since 2023, each read in one direction; Charleston, Kansas City and Tacoma show what customers paid for moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
Whether the car loads at a lot by the US-25E exit or on a lake road up top, these ranges assume a running sedan on an open trailer. A plant hire's pickup, an SUV or a car that will not start costs more, and enclosed about a third more, so get your own Morristown estimate by email from the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The overhead sidewalks downtown are the only ones of their kind in the country.
The interstate begins its run north at I-40 a short drive from town, and carriers bound for Virginia use it.
It wraps the north side of town, and its roads meet the truck at the top.
The Smokies rise to the south, and the Florida retirees come for the summers.
Please note: Morristown’s Tampa band is our own Tennessee to Florida open-carrier orders since 2023, and its San Diego band our own California to Tennessee open-carrier orders since 2023, each one way. Charleston, Kansas City and Tacoma come from what customers paid on trips of comparable length from September 2025 to August 2026, and the figure we book is the one a specialist confirms by phone.
