Torrington Car Shipping at the Gateway to the Litchfield Hills

Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Torrington, the Litchfield County city where the Route 8 expressway climbs north from Waterbury, the art deco theater lights up Main Street on show nights, the old bearing mills built the hill neighborhoods on both sides of the river, the lakes and second homes of the Litchfield Hills begin at the town line, and the snow comes earlier and stays longer than on the shoreline. The carrier that takes your car is licensed and insured, and our team vets it before the assignment is made.

Torrington sits about thirty minutes up Route 8 from I-84, and because the carrier drives that far off the interstate, we tell you on the first call that the pickup window here runs longer than in the I-84 cities. A 75-foot rig loads in the lots along Winsted Road by Route 8 or on East Main Street at the Route 4 junction. The valley streets take the truck to the door; the steep hill neighborhoods meet it below on East Main, and a lake or second-home address meets it in town because the rig cannot work the hill roads, all set at booking. Winter storms from November to April can shift a date, with the hills the last to clear. We ship for hospital and plant hires on a start date, families moving to the area and New York second-home owners who meet the truck in town rather than at the lake.
