Door-to-door Gresham car shipping at the east end of the Portland metro, with Mount Hood cabins met in town, butte streets met below, and Gorge ice planned for.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Gresham, the city at the east end of the Portland metro, where I-84 runs the north edge into the Columbia Gorge, US-26 runs the south edge toward the mountain, the light rail ends downtown, the Rockwood neighborhoods speak Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian, the buttes rise on the south side, and the Gorge wind and ice arrive before anywhere else in the metro. Before your car is assigned, we confirm the carrier is licensed and insured, so the truck loading on the east side has already cleared our checks.
Three roads do the work for a car hauler here: 181st Avenue at I-84, Burnside near the end of the light rail and Powell Boulevard below the buttes, where lots give a 75-foot rig room to load just off the main road. The grid streets take the truck to the door; on a butte street the hand-off moves to the bottom of the steep drive, and a Mount Hood cabin meets it in town because the rig does not run the mountain loop loaded, with the spot agreed at booking. In winter a Gorge ice storm can close I-84 and hold an eastbound truck. We handle families moving into the metro, Rockwood families shipping a car to a grown child in another state, mountain cabin owners and two-car households.

For moves past the Gorge or anywhere else in the state, our Oregon car shipping guide covers the routes and seasons.
The pickup time, the price and the driver’s contact reach you in writing before the truck heads up 181st Avenue, the driver has the name and number on the order, and the hand-off is a walk-around inspection and a signature.
A 75-foot rig does not run the Mount Hood loop loaded, so a cabin address meets the truck at a Gresham lot on US-26, where the carriers already are, an hour from the door.
Fill in the route, the vehicle and the date it can leave the east side, and the quote calculator emails a Gresham estimate, with the price confirmed when a specialist calls. One coordinator keeps the order from that quote to the delivery inspection, so a cabin meeting point or a hand-off in another state is arranged by the same person.
Gresham fills the east end of the Portland metro, with I-84 on its north edge, US-26 heading toward the mountain and the buttes rising on the south side. Five factors decide your price:
Gresham loads off 181st Avenue near I-84, along Burnside or on Powell Boulevard below the buttes, and mountain cabins meet the truck in town. There are no lanes of our own here: the Seattle, Boise, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Orlando rows show what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
Read these as ranges for a running sedan on an open trailer, loaded off 181st Avenue or at your curb. A pickup or three-row SUV costs more to move from the east side, a car that will not start costs more too, and an enclosed trailer runs about a third higher. For your own Gresham price, use the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The wind and the ice reach the city before anywhere else in the metro, and a bad storm can close I-84 through the Gorge.
Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian are all spoken in its neighborhoods.
They rise on the south side, and their steep drives meet the truck below.
Mount Hood is an hour up US-26, and its cabin cars meet the truck in town.
Please note: For Gresham, every row is priced by distance: Seattle, Boise, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Orlando reflect what customers paid for comparable trips from September 2025 to August 2026, and none of them is one of our own lanes. A Gorge ice storm, fuel and your vehicle can all shift what you pay, so book from the calculator quote for your own car.
