Door-to-door Bend car shipping in the high desert, with the passes told straight, west-side roundabouts met on the parkway, and resort cars met in town.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Bend, the city in the high desert on the east side of the Cascades, where US-97 runs the spine, the roundabouts on the west side are famous and numerous, the Old Mill and the river fill the middle of town, the mountain resort sits half an hour up the hill and the second-home communities half an hour south, remote workers have settled in, and Portland is three hours away over a mountain pass. The truck that crosses the Cascades for your car belongs to a licensed, insured carrier, and we vet that carrier before it is given the load.
Carriers reach the high desert over Santiam Pass from the valley or down US-97 from the Columbia, so a pickup here is planned with more lead time than one on I-5, and a winter storm on the passes can hold a truck. The pavement along US-97 at the north end near the Bend Parkway and on Highway 20 on the east side is wide enough for a 75-foot rig to load, but the rig does not run the west-side roundabouts. The east-side grids take the truck to the door, an address past the roundabouts meets it on the parkway, and a Sunriver or resort address meets it in town, with the spot agreed at booking and a spare day built in from November to April. We handle remote workers arriving from California and Seattle, second-home owners, retirees settling on the east side and hospital hires with a start date.

From the Cascades to the coast, our Oregon car shipping guide covers the routes and seasons behind a move anywhere in the state.
Three hours over the mountains from the valley means 2-3 days to load rather than 1-3, and a winter storm on the pass holds a carrier a day; we say so on the first call.
A 75-foot rig does not run the west-side roundabouts, so an address past them gets a meeting point on the parkway or at a US-97 lot fixed when you book, a few minutes from the door.
Give the quote calculator your destination, the vehicle and the day it can come off the high desert, and it emails an estimate that a specialist confirms by phone. One coordinator stays with you from that quote, through the pass crossing, to the inspection at delivery.
Bend sits in the high desert east of the Cascades, with US-97 running through the middle of town and the mountain passes between it and the valley. These five factors decide the price:
Bend loads on the wide pavement along US-97 and Highway 20, and west-side addresses meet the truck on the parkway past the roundabouts. Every row is a distance band: Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, Phoenix and Boston show what customers paid for moves of similar length in our bookings between September 2025 and August 2026.
The ranges assume a running sedan on an open trailer coming over the passes. A full-size pickup or a three-row SUV costs more to bring over the mountains, a car that will not start needs a winch and costs more too, and an enclosed carrier costs about a third more. Your own Bend move gets an emailed estimate from the quote calculator, or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
Trucks reach town over Santiam Pass or down US-97 from the Columbia, and the pickup window allows for the drive.
The west side is famous for them, and a 75-foot rig meets those addresses on the parkway.
The smokestacks still stand over the river in the middle of town, with the shops around them.
The mountain is half an hour up and Sunriver half an hour south, and their cars meet the truck in Bend.
Please note: Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, Phoenix and Boston use what customers paid for trips of about the same distance from September 2025 to August 2026. A pickup over the passes can land toward the top of a band, and a specialist confirms the Bend price we book after your emailed estimate.
