Door-to-door Burlington, Iowa car shipping on the Mississippi bluffs, with honest 2-4 day windows and Roosevelt Avenue hand-offs for the bluff streets.
Ship A Car, Inc. arranges door-to-door vehicle transport for Burlington, the Des Moines County seat on the Mississippi where US-34 crosses the Great River Bridge to Illinois, US-61 runs the river road north and south, Snake Alley switchbacks down the bluff, the old grid climbs from the riverfront in steps, and the plants on the west side anchor the payroll. Your car travels with a licensed, insured hauler that passed our vetting before we assigned it.
We plan Burlington pickups around the hour of highway between town and I-80 or I-74. Carriers reach it on US-34 across the Great River Bridge from Galesburg, or on US-61 from the Quad Cities and the river towns, so a car here usually travels as part of a Quad Cities load and the pickup window runs wider than in a metro; a flexible first date is the quickest way to shorten it. On the west side, the Roosevelt Avenue strip takes a 75-foot rig, and the newer streets around it have driveways the truck can use. The bluff neighborhoods and the old grid above the river are steep and narrow, with alleys in place of driveways, so those cars meet the driver on Roosevelt Avenue at a spot fixed when you book. We ship cars for plant transfers, for river-town families sending a car to a student, and for retirees heading south for the winter.

Beyond Des Moines County, our Iowa car shipping guide covers statewide routes, seasonal timing and pricing.
We quote a 2-4 day pickup window for Des Moines County and build the schedule around a Quad Cities load, rather than promising a metro window.
Switchbacks, alleys, and the old grid above the river get a Roosevelt Avenue meeting point, fixed when you book and minutes from the door.
Enter the pickup, your vehicle and the dates in the quote calculator, and a Burlington estimate arrives by email before a specialist confirms the figure. You deal with one coordinator from the first price to the final inspection, even while the stop waits on a Quad Cities load.
Burlington prices on the Quad Cities side of the state, on loads that come down US-61 and US-34. Five things move your number:
Burlington moves start at a west-side driveway or at a Roosevelt Avenue lot, which is also where bluff-street addresses meet the truck, and the table below prices the trip from there. No row is one of our own lanes: Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, Fort Myers and San Diego are distance rows, showing the middle half of what customers paid for open-carrier moves of similar length that we booked between September 2025 and August 2026.
The bands describe a sedan on an open trailer. A pickup, a three-row SUV or a car that will not start in a bluff garage costs more, and enclosed transport adds about a third. For your own Burlington price, use the quote calculator or call (866) 821-4555. No deposit is taken until a carrier is assigned to your move.
The 1894 switchback street is one of the crookedest in the world.
The cable-stayed span carries US-34 to Illinois.
Burlington was the territorial capital of Iowa in the 1830s.
I-80 and I-74 are each about an hour away.
Please note: Each Burlington figure, for Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, Fort Myers and San Diego alike, comes from open-carrier moves of about the same distance booked with us from September 2025 to August 2026. River-town timing, fuel and the car itself can move the final price; a specialist confirms the Burlington number after the calculator’s estimate.
