Ann Arbor Car Shipping

For a sedan on an open carrier, plan on $350 to $550 to or from Cleveland, $550 to $850 to or from Washington, $800 to $1,150 to or from Boston, $1,150 to $1,450 to San Francisco, and $1,300 to $1,800 to or from Seattle. From Ann Arbor, the San Francisco row is the middle half of our own Michigan to California open-carrier orders since 2023, so it can sit below the Seattle band even though the drive is longer; Cleveland, Washington, Boston and Seattle reflect what customers paid for moves of similar length between September 2025 and August 2026.

Once loaded, the car needs a day from Cleveland, 1-2 days from Washington, 2-3 days to Boston, 4-6 days from Seattle, and 5-7 days to San Francisco. An Ann Arbor pickup is normally arranged within one to three days of the first date you can hand the car over.

On the grids, yes. A campus address meets the truck at a lot off the campus grid, an Old West Side street under the trees meets it on Huron or Main, and the State Street lot at I-94 is the fallback.

You place the order and pay; she only has to meet the driver. List her as the receiving contact with her phone number, and the driver calls her the day before arrival. Move-in week in late August is the tight one, so a car sent a week before or after usually costs less and arrives to calmer streets, and if her housing is not ready yet, the State Street lot at I-94 works as the meeting point.

On a home football Saturday the crowd fills every road between the interstate and the campus, and the art fair closes the downtown streets while it runs each July. Carriers keep working, but the hand-off moves to the State Street lot at I-94 or to a different day, and we flag it on the first call.
