Shipping a Car from Denver to Cape Coral
This is a snowbird lane, and that single fact tells you more about the price than the 2,000 miles does. Southbound fills up from October into December as people head for the Gulf coast, and northbound fills up from March into May as they come home. In the peak direction demand outruns the trucks; in the quiet direction the same lane is cheap because carriers need loads for the return. Which way and which month you are going matters as much as the distance.

Winter is the seasonal variable and it is at the Colorado end rather than the Florida one. Snow on I-70 through the mountains and closures over the passes can delay a pickup by a day or two, which is worth knowing if you are trying to leave ahead of a storm.
Book Around the Season
If your dates have any flexibility at all, this is where the money is.
Moving a fortnight either side of a peak makes a real difference on this lane, and moving in the quiet direction is cheaper again. If you are shipping the car south in November and back north in April, you are traveling in the expensive direction both times, so book both legs early rather than hoping capacity appears.
Booking two to three weeks ahead is the useful window in normal months. In October and in March, further out is better, because on this corridor the constraint genuinely becomes available trucks rather than price.
Access at the Cape Coral End
Cape Coral is built around a canal network, and that shapes the delivery more than people expect.
The street layout means plenty of cul de sacs, narrow residential roads and bridges, and a car hauler is around 75 feet long. Many streets simply will not take one. Gated communities are common through Southwest Florida too, and a number of them do not admit commercial trucks at all.
The normal answer is a meeting point at a large lot nearby, which is faster than waiting for a driver willing to attempt the street and widens the pool of carriers who will take the load. Arrange it when you book rather than on the day.
The Denver end is usually easier, though the older central neighborhoods have their own narrow streets and parking restrictions.

Preparing the Car

Empty the cabin and trunk, since personal items are not covered by cargo insurance and shift in transit. Fold the mirrors, disable a motion sensitive alarm, and hand over a key. If the car has been sitting through a Colorado winter, check the battery and the tire pressures before collection, because a car that will not start becomes a winch job at the curb.
