Delays can happen, so build in margin. Flexibility saves money as well: a hard must-arrive-by date costs more than an open window, and while your carrier will do everything possible to hold the schedule, storms and traffic occasionally move even solid deadlines. If the cart must be somewhere for a specific date, book early rather than paying for expedited service later.
Preparing Your Golf Cart for Shipment
Prep mirrors car prep: empty the cart completely (nothing stored in it is insured), and make sure it is operational, meaning it rolls, steers, and brakes for loading. A non-operational cart ships fine too, but say so at booking; it needs winch or tow loading, which adds a fee only when it surprises the carrier.
Inspect the cart thoroughly before pickup. Photograph or video it from all angles, note any dings, dents, or damage, and do the same at delivery so any change is documented against the pickup record rather than argued from memory.
