Everything You Need to Know About the State of Ohio (OH)
The first Europeans to explore what is now Ohio were the French fur traders in the 17th century. After being conquered by the French, Ohio became a British territory after the French and the Indian War in 1754. At the end of the American Transformation, Britain delivered control of the region to the newly developed United States, which merged it into the Northwest Region.
The name Ohio originates from the Iroquois word ohi-yo, meaning "great river" or "large creek". The state of Ohio is situated along the Ohio River, which formed part of the border between the original colonies of Virginia and Pennsylvania. The river was called the Ohio by the Iroquois Indians and was given this name because it was the great river of the land.
Ohio was added as a state on March 1, 1803, when President Thomas Jefferson signed the act of Congress accepting Ohio as the seventeenth state of the Union. Although no formal, declaration was made until August 7, 1953 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower issued a proclamation formally admitting Ohio as a state in retrospect to the initial day. Ohio is fondly called the “Mother of Modern Presidents," due to the fact that it is the home state of seven presidents, including William Henry Harrison, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, William McKinley, Benjamin Harrison, and Warren G. Harding.
The "Buckeye State" is Ohio's official nickname, which comes from its official tree, the Ohio Buckeye tree. The Buckeye tree plays an important role in Ohio's history and culture, as it is a strong symbol of the state's proud heritage.is attributed to the frequency of the local buckeye tree, whose fruit was believed to birth a striking similarity to the eye of male deer by early American Indians.
Ohio is also known as the house of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio and celebrates the legacy of music artists from around the world who have made a significant impact on the genre of rock and roll. It was established in 1983 and continues to honor musical excellence.
The city of Cleveland was founded by Connecticut-born Moses Cleaveland in 1796. At the time, that Moses Cleaveland founded the city of Cleveland in 1796, the region was part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, a tract of land granted to Connecticut by the Continental Congress in 1786. After surveyor Moses Cleaveland was hired by the Connecticut Land Company to create a plan for the city, he led a group of surveyors and fifty-eight settlers along the Cuyahoga River in 1796. During the trip, Cleaveland named the area along Lake Erie "Cleveland". The original settlement's name was spelled "Cleaveland," with an extra "a," but the spelling changed over time. After the village was incorporated in 1814, the spelling was officially changed to "Cleveland" with the drop of the "a". Cleveland is very important to Ohio. The city is one of the largest cities in the state, and it has a strong economic, educational, and cultural impact on the surrounding region. It is a major tourist destination, it is home to a number of large employers, including the Ohio state government, national and regional banks, and a number of Fortune 500 companies, and it is a major hub for healthcare and higher education.

What to Look for in Car Shipping Companies in Ohio
When deciding on a car shipping company in Ohio, it is important to consider the following factors:
Company’s reputation: It is vital to look for a company with a good reputation. Ask friends, family, and neighbors for recommendations, or look for customer reviews online.
Company’s policies: Make sure to ask about the company’s rates and payment policies to ensure you are getting a good deal. It is also important to make sure the company is licensed and insured, as this will offer protection in the event of any problems during the shipping process. Furthermore, you should check the company’s terms and conditions to ensure they are clear and fair.
Once you have narrowed down your options to a reputable car shipping company, it is important to ask as many questions as possible. Ask about the estimated time of delivery, pick up and drop off procedures, available modes of transport, insurance coverage and any other services the company may provide. You may also want to inquire about the company’s experience dealing with cars that are in non-running condition.

Ohio is home to numerous long-distance hiking trails, the most renowned being the Buckeye Trail. At 1,444 miles (2,324 kilometers) long, it circles around the state and contains both off-road pathways and road segments. Furthermore, the North Country Trail (the longest of the eleven National Scenic Trails certified by Congress) and the American Discovery Trail (a network of trails and roads creating a coast-to-coast route across the middle of the United States) both cross through Ohio, with much of them overlapping with the Buckeye Trail.
Ohio is home to several major east-west transportation corridors. In the early 1900s, one of those major routes, known as “Main Market Route 3”, was chosen to be part of the historic Lincoln Highway, which was America’s first coast-to-coast road, connecting New York City to San Francisco. Along its path through Ohio, the Lincoln Highway connected various towns and cities, including Canton, Mansfield, Wooster, Lima, and Van Wert. This brought about a significant change in the development of the state. In 1926, when the national highway system was established, the Lincoln Highway in Ohio became UNITED STATE Route 30.
Additionally, Ohio is home to 228 miles (367 km) of the Historic National Road, now known as UNITED STATE Route 40.
Ohio boasts a large network of roads and interstate highways. North-south highways such as I-75 (connecting Toledo, Dayton and Cincinnati), I-71 (running from Cleveland through Columbus and Cincinnati into Kentucky) and I-77 (from Cleveland through Akron, Canton, New Philadelphia and Marietta south into West Virginia) are widely transited. Other major east-west highways include the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/ I-90) stretching across the north of the state and I-70 passing through Columbus and Dayton. In particular, the stretch of I-75 between Cincinnati and Dayton is one of the busiest pieces of interstate in Ohio.
Ohio is home to five international airports, four businesses, and two military airfields. These five airports are Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, John Glenn Columbus International Airport, Dayton International Airport, Akron Fulton International Airport, and Rickenbacker International Airport. Rickenbacker and Wright Patterson Air Force Base are the two airfields used by the military, with Wright Patterson being a large Air Force base in the USA. Additionally, airports in Toledo and Akron provide significant transportation options.
Notable streams in the state of Ohio include the Cuyahoga, Great Miami, Maumee, Muskingum, and Scioto Rivers. These rivers flow through the state and eventually into either the Atlantic Ocean via Lake Erie and the St. Lawrence Seaway or the Gulf of Mexico via the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers.
Wildernet states that the Ohio River and Lake Erie are the two major water bodies in Ohio. Furthermore, a total of 44,000 miles of waterways flows into either the Ohio River’s southern portion or Lake Erie in the north.

I am so grateful for Paul Murphy who went out of his way to help me to ship my vehicle. I will definitely use this company again without hesitation in the future whenever I have a need to ship my vehicle. They operate the business with honesty and integrity, the best company that I have ever encountered, I truly thank God for directing me here for their service when I had a need to ship my vehicle. If there is more rating scale than 5 stars, I would give them the highest one, because they deserve all the praises! I sincerely hope that anyone who needs their vehicle to be shipped, please go to "Ship A Car, Inc.", because they are the best in this type of business. You would be rest assured that they would do their best, and the best part is that they never even try to take advantage of any customers unlike some other companies out there that have hidden agendas to rip of their customers... Words alone cannot express enough of my gratitude for the company!!!

I was very apprehensive about choosing a company to ship my sons car from NC to Wa. There are so many options out there. As soon as I spoke to Pepper Long, I knew that I would choose her company. She was friendly, helpful, and reassuring during the entire experience. She continuously checked on the progress of the shipment and kept me updated about where the car was and when I could expect it to be delivered. She even checked in on me in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend using this service to anyone who is looking to ship a car.

I was referred to Ship A Car from the moving company because I decided I didn't want to pull my Escort myself behind my truck. I made the right choice because the cost was more than reasonable and I didn't have to deal with the aggravation. The transport coordinator, Danny, was a great rep for the company. He helped me work around my schedule and responded to changes in my plans easily. The delivery guys, Sander and Val, kept me up-to-date on their timing and location throughout the transport. A very professional team. I will happily recommend to my friends and family and I would highly recommend to anyone else. Seriously, they know what customer service means.

Bob Moran. Is AMAZING ! I shipped my car from Las Vegas to Pennsylvania. Bob has kindness , compassion, respect ,empathy, and professionalism for the stress and planning that comes with moving. His customer service deserves him to be an owner of this company. And he should get a raise of 50% in my opinion. Because he communicated on a level that all customer service people should learn from this man. He returned calls and texts with in 24 hours and was honest and transparent if he could meet your deadline. And he did all that by being calm and giving a 100% effort in putting our needs/ the customer first. If your going with this company, then ask to have Bob as your person . Thank you Bob! Godbless!

I'm not sure if I just got the trash of the company, regardless of the good reviews but I'm already dealing with the death of my father and had to move an ATV out of his place after he passed. I decided to use this company and it has been one problem after another, then they contracted with a driver who never gives us any updates or answers his phone. We were told it would be delivered same day, so we got no estimated times and just waited around with no phone call. So we called the company and was told, oh sorry, we were going to update you in the morning that it was going to be delivered next day in the evening. So I follow up the next morning and was told I would get a call back, but never did. I tried to be courteous because I know everyone deals with all kinds of customers, but this company is terrible, along with the company they contracted with.

Shipped two vehicles from Nevada to Kansas
Kristina V and Ship A Car booking people made our transport experience... A positive experience. Can not say enough about the calm, confident manner they had with handling details and getting our vehicles moved to their new home.. It is so stressful finding people that you can trust to do what they say they can do... This was just a wonderful blessing to us... Everything went smooth and delivery was GREAT! These two vehicles had to come 1577 miles. Cost was fair for shipping both vehicles... Just can not express, the sincere, happiness we felt to see these vehicles reach their final home... These people KNOW what they are doing to help others... I appreciate them helping us out... It was a remarkable, good experience finding this service.
