I had a classic VW Beetle shipped from California to New York. Danny (the representative from Ship A Car) was the BEST! He explained everything to me step by step. I had never shipped a car before and I called a bunch of different companies and was feeling leery. But Danny was patient, very kind, and trustworthy. He explained everything to me. He encouraged me to look up the company on the BBB website, which I did. After doing my research, I knew this was the company for me. If you need to ship a car, CALL DANNY! He's aces! My car arrived as scheduled and the price was fair. Thanks Dan - you're the best!

I had a terrible experience. At first they did not know my carrier was going on vacation. Then I had to get a new carrier. Then he had problems with his rig. Had to send drivers license registration and insurance. To get out of the pound. Then when they arrived at the destination finally they asked for COD. When they told me they would take out of my credit card. It cost me more money. To use the credit card. A nightmare

I contracted with Ship a Car to pick up and deliver a motorcycle. Steve was great to work with. They arranged for the motorcycle to be picked up on a Saturday and it was delivered to me 900 miles away, the next day (as Sunday). I was amazed. Price was reasonable and they far exceeded my expectations. I have used other motorcycle shippers in the past but this was the best experience by far. I will definitely use them again.

Do not give these people your money. I paid them their $300 deposit to have a driver sent to my location. The driver showed up 2 days late at 10pm and said he couldn’t tow my trailer because my brakes didn’t work and took $400 from me and said I can get my money back from SHIP A CAR INC. Well the driver and this company seemed sketchy and so I called another company to tow it. They towed it on time, without issue, with no complaints about my brakes, for much less. When I called SHIP A CAR INC to see if I can get any of the $700 dollars (which I spent for them to do absolutely nothing for me) back they said they would get in contact with me. Each time I’ve called back they say, again, they will call me later. This has happened 3 times and now I am fed up with waiting. It took me just a couple google searches to find a much more reliable and inexpensive company, who didn’t steal from me, so I recommend you search a little longer and find someone else.

I had the pleasure of working with Meredith A from the beginning of shipping my car to the end of the transaction. Meredith was very professional and caring throughout the process. She answered all of my questions, and I had a lot of questions, and eased my fears of shipping my car. Whenever I called if she was on another phone call she always called me back in a timely fashion. I throughly enjoyed her work ethic and would not hesitate using her service again if the need would arise.

I'm giving SAC a 1 Star due to the transporter they assigned me (guilty by association). SAC (itself) were professional and courteous. Unfortunately, if they assign "Dones Auto Transport Inc:" to you, MAKE SURE you refuse them! The driver was nice enough but didn't speak english - per the dispatcher. And the dispatcher was anything but professional. I'm all for supporting small businesses but this husband/wife team were the absolute worse in professionalism and communication! This is why they probably don't have a profile under Google or Yelp! I was promised 5 star service but received the most bootlegged service ever experienced! Wednesday, March 23: Received a call from the dispatcher "the driver (Javier) is confirmed to pick up my car on Friday (March 25) & would call me 3 hours out." Friday, March 25 Driver was a no call/no show. Attempted to make contact via text and cell to no avail. Dispatcher finally calls back late afternoon - Driver stuck at DMV all morning renewing his registration & would pick up the car  Saturday morning by approximately 8am. Saturday, March 24: 9 am, No word from driver/dispatcher. Several calls/texts made & at 12.30 pm, dispatcher text's back stating her son had the phone & she didn't realize I called. Almost an hour later I'm told the driver caught a flat but was approximately 45 miles away. 3pm, driver arrives & picks up the car. Tuesday, March 29 5 pm, dispatcher texts me - driver needs to drop off "tonight" as another driver injured his finger. I asked for a time, she provided a two hour window which I refused due to the inconsistent communication & lack of confidence. She then became obnoxious and even sent me a photo of the injury (see attached - NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH) & demanded I make arrangements for a late drop off. After A LOT of back and forth, she agreed to a Wednesday morning drop off. Wednesday, March 30 The driver makes contact stating he was onsite & unloaded the car only to find out he was at the wrong location. It took him another hour to get to the right destination. Two hours later, I finally got my car. I know as a broker, there is little SAC can do but this needed to be said! STAY AWAY FROM DONES AUTO TRANSPORT, INC!

This was my first experience with shipping an automobile cross country, and I must say it was and excellent experience. Bob Moran was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable with the shipping process. We had a great conversation about cars and reminiscing the good old days. The whole process went great! The car arrived sooner than expected and was in great condition. Bob Moran is a great asset to Ship a Car and I highly recommend them.

This was my first time using Ship A Car, and overall it was a really good experience. I shipped my Lexus from Manhattan to Michigan. Initially, I was really nervous about sending my vehicle. I went with Ship A Car after reading through some of their positive reviews. The only reason I rated them as a 4 instead of a 5 was because of a $200 price jump. I was informed this might happen due to the delivery destination, but still, extra costs are extra costs. Other than that, I had an excellent experience. They did a really good job with handling my Lexus. The shipment took about 2 days. There was no damage and the vehicle wasn't dirty when I received it. I would recommend them.

I'm a snowbird and I'm 84 years old. I used to drive back and forth but at my age, that's not safe. I don't see another alternative to Ship A Car. I work with Steve and he has been incredible. He knows me and my situation and he is just so supportive. The trip last fall was amazing. During this time when there's so much unrest, they're doing everything they can to make the trip as enjoyable as possible.

Ship A Car did a good job. Their customer service was sufficient. I didn't have to worry about, “Where's the car? Or what are they doing?” Everything was in a timely manner. They had a man come here and he was of Lithuanian descent and he was new in the country. He was very kind and polite. He knew what he was supposed to do and did his job well. The car was delivered in about a day. He was very efficient. It worked out great.

I was referred to Ship A Car from the moving company because I decided I didn't want to pull my Escort myself behind my truck. I made the right choice because the cost was more than reasonable and I didn't have to deal with the aggravation. The transport coordinator, Danny, was a great rep for the company. He helped me work around my schedule and responded to changes in my plans easily. The delivery guys, Sander and Val, kept me up-to-date on their timing and location throughout the transport. A very professional team. I will happily recommend to my friends and family and I would highly recommend to anyone else. Seriously, they know what customer service means.

I recently purchased a Cutlass Supreme and initially used another carrier. I called my initial carrier to get a status and was told it would take 4 weeks to have my car picked up. I cancelled my order and I contacted Ship a Car. I spoke to Willie and made arrangements to have my car transported via an enclosed carrier. Within an hour, Willie called me back and my car was picked up that night and arrived in NY in 2 days. The car arrived with no issues. Willie was responsive and communicated all the steps the entire way. I would highly recommend them.

I had been looking for someone to ship my car for three weeks. I needed my car shipped from Alabama to Texas. The pickup location was kind of out of the way so I feel like that is why it was a longer process! However ship a car inc was the third company I found and had someone to pick my car up within a week! The price was a little higher but I felt that was due to the pickup location of my car. It was picked up on Thursday and delivered the next day! The only issue I ran into was a language barrier with the driver. However, he was very nice and understanding! I will book with this company again.

Very professional and organized on the phone, detailed emails to document everything appropriately as well. Followed up as he said he would. Actual transport people also very professional, ended up delivering the car a day early which was a plus. Smooth and painless process.

I called Ship a car to get a quote on a car transport, I got forwarded quickly to Bob who was able to answer all my questions and was extremely helpful with the entire process. He promised me a ship date and arrival date and he was spot on no issues. Car got delivered perfectly and professionally. He called me during transport to update me and a couple times after to follow up with everything. Paid $900 + to have my car shipped from Colorado to South Carolina. Helped the driver load my car onto a flat bed on 6/23/16, armed my alarm, and filled out paperwork, and paid the requested cash amount. The Car was to be delivered at my mother-in laws house on 6/25/16. The Driver stated that this would not be an issue. I told him that it wasn't a huge deal if it took another day or so. The 25th came around so I text and called the driver and asked him to please arrange a time with my mother-in law so she will be home to receive the car. He said that he would right away, she never received any call. The next day I called again to no response, so I called shipacar and had no response from them. Finally received a call telling me that the driver broke his leg and his boss would be delivering the car, still no exact date or time. A Couple of days go by and the car finally shows up at her house with not the original driver, not the boss, but a part time college kid. This was the early afternoon on 6/28/16, Three Days Late. The driver and the company didn't know that I have a gps system built into my alarm. My car basically stayed parked at the guys home for two days. So the late delivery isn't even the worst part about this who process. Keep in mind that we are driving across the country this whole time. We finally arrive in SC on 6/30/16. Checked out my car and everything looked ok. Went for a drive to go say hello to my parents and on my way there was some sort of smell in my car. Was tired that night so didn't pay much attention to it. The next morning I decide to check out my car a little further and in the rear door panel inside a plastic truck stop bag was one opened and drank Fosters Beer Can and one Full Can. So that is why my car smelled like crap, it was from an open beer can. I am absolutely livid at this point because not only did someone unlock my car when they had no need to enter my car, someone was drinking in my car. Who knows what else they did in my car? I call ship a car and tell them what has happened and they were astounded. They call the company that "They Hired" and ask their side. I then get a call from the company telling me that it was my beer or I let someone drive my car and they left it in there. I explain to him that no one has every borrowed my car and I certainly don't drink fosters or have every known anyone that does, or shops at a pilot truck stop. We go back and forth with the owner of the transport company and all he can say is that he is very sorry and he will fire the driver. I am pretty sure that they are related because when we said fosters beer he changed his tune. Anyway I see why they deal in cash because they are not willing to do any refund. No to Shipacar, I explain to them how if I were pulled over driving my car with that beer and open container in the car I would have probably lost my license. They were apologetic and said they will try to get money back from the transport company, which I thought this whole time was them. They got me in touch with a supervisor who only offered to refund me $100.00. After we paid them $300+ , I asked that if they can't return the money that the driver received the next best thing would to do the honorable thing and refund all the money they got on their end. They were absolutely unwilling to make things right and just eat it on their side of the deal. In the end I would say forgo hiring a middle man like this because they pretty much sell your transport to any looser that they have in their system. Just go and find a transport company that actually ships your car and save some money.

I brought a large van bus from an auction and was deeply searching for a reliable and reasonably priced company. In my search, I called 5 companies and Ship A Car provided the best price. The lady in the office, Yvonne was wonderful, I'm not sure of her hours because I was able to reach her day or night so needless to say they exceeded my expectations.

I was having a car shipped from Houston to Tennessee and I had many concerns about this adventure. However, after speaking with Lawrence and then him walking me through every step. I had the best experience possible. He did everything that he said that he would and went over and beyond my expectations. The driver Leon was just as good and provided peace of mind all the way. I schedule my car to be picked up on a Monday.. when I actually made the final call to Lawrence.. he stated "how about if I try to get a driver to pick up on Saturday"? I said yes of course, short story Lawrence called back with a pick-up date on Saturday and delivery on Monday. Then Leon called and asked if a Sunday delivery would be okay?? Wow, I could not have asked for anything better than this experience. Yes, I would use this company again without a doubt.

I will never use this company again nor would I recommend that any consumer use it. Not only did my car not arrive a week after the allotted 6-10 day quote, the communication was horrible and evasive. They did not take responsibility for our car's whereabouts and had no answers as to when the car would arrive. They refused to reimburse me for the rental car I was forced to get because of this delay. At one point when I was trying to get to the bottom of what was happening the associate hung up on me. He had given me the run around for 3 days and never returned my calls. I am a very patient person and I knew there would be a delay given the holiday weekend. I padded that into my time but the lack of communication and lack of respect of my situation was totally unprofessional and frustrating. As I am writing this we still don't have our car.
